(NB: Optional scenic flight is not included in the tour costs.) Continue via Twizel and Omarama and follow the Waitaki River to Oamaru and then on to Dunedin via Palmerston and Wakouiti. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Check out of hotel and transfer by seat in coach to the port town of Bluff, famous for the oysters which are found off the coast of Southland in the Foveaux Strait. From Bluff, board the ferry to Stewart Island, an unspoilt island comprising of less than 1,000 inhabitants with prolific flora and fauna and where native kiwis abound. The rest of the day is at leisure to experience any of the many Optional activities available here. One of the most popular Options here in the evening is to go on a guided tour to view the little Brown Kiwi in its natural habitat as it forages for food in the bush and on the beach. [Optional activities are not included in the tour costs.] NB: The Kiwi Spotting night tour is a very popular activity and it is recommended that you pre-book to avoid disappointment as they only operate this tour every second night and numbers are limited to minimise impact on the Kiwis. You may see dolphins, seals and penguins today as you cruise through this unspoilt natural ecosystem.
